Follow the winds of memory, history, and landscapes as Jack Nanaimo’s poetry guides you through a rhythmic journey of life, reflection, and the world around us. Because apparently scrolling TIKTOK isn’t enough depth for your soul.
Per news yesterday September 7, 2026, that Trump has blocked Bombardier from selling its aircraft in the US. Of note is the reality that thousands of US jobs have been created by Bombardier in the manufacture of those aircraft. Dumb Maga stuff of the highest order.
My apologies to the memory of Sir Winston Churchill for my oblique reference to one of his great statements as noted in the first two lines of the poem
Never in the history of peacetime human relations
Has so much agony been dealt out by one person to so many
As the Maga president yet again did something dumb
Blocking Bombardier from selling aircraft as he beats the Maga drum
This guy can’t seem to fly high
His wheels are grounded in Maga dust
Stalled, as critical thinking has gone awry
Dies he care at all about US trust?
Thousands of US jobs have been created
By Bombardier to make some of the best aircraft in the world
Take Texas for example where wings are made
For their unmatched business jet the fastest in world trade
Gas again being poured on a smouldering flame
That may yet explode in a wildfire when their ain’t a lot of rain
Clutching at straws using the notion of force trying to bring to heel
Canada, a free nation, that Canadians won’t allow Trump to peel
You got him for a while America
His wars on the mid east horizon are killing thousands
Bludgeoning Venezuela and Cuba in idealistic fervour
There are few who have made so many enemies at home and abroad
As Maga’s clouded vision leaves the world harmed and clawed
Postscript to the poem:
No matter the Trumpian threat
American law has said the bombardier jet
Has full right to fly and be sold in the US
Regardless of this new Maga ploy
As Trump opens his mouth and thumps his chest
