I was only twelve but am now with the ancients
I don’t worry anymore about harsh cold nights
Our land is so beautiful full of water and trees
Where wildlife abounded in the rivers that surrounded
A land with colour as far as could be seen
Room for us all and no need to be grounded
Now I’m no longer around
My Dad was away north from the school in a pound
I wanted to go see him but was found dead on the ground
As I challenged the rule and froze and had to lay down
They finally broke that frightening chain bound ‘round
Too late for me though since I’m now long dead
I’m living with my Dad here and at last I’m unbound
Our vision is clear and we will no longer be bled
I don’t think you judges had much of any vision
Your power roared when you had it and could use it
But not against all kids who didn’t face your derision
Who were free at home and not state or religion bitten
I too was a child of the land, but you didn’t know it
I didn’t either until found dead by the tracks
I didn’t need you, nor did the tradition of ancients
None will forget your draconian acts
I wish I could have lived more without any fright
None who took me are covered with much glory
But as best I can I hope all will be well tonight
Don’t do it again, for you have no right
Molding others with unknown sight
Blind with righteous and religious might
An angry world might be watching and ignite
