THE FIFTH HORSEMAN OF THE APOCALYPSE

Follow the winds of memory, history, and landscapes as Jack Nanaimo’s poetry guides you through a rhythmic journey of life, reflection, and the world around us.   Because apparently scrolling TIKTOK isn’t enough depth for your soul.

Glowering, turning in endless rotations
As politics become heated in rising fury
Causing anger to climb in a mindless hurry
In shouting words threatening life and nations

It’s presence hovering over this heated planet
Waiting like a spectre not thought of in past ages
A fifth horsemen is flying, his mount’s hooves sparking
Bringing fast bombs to kill; was it written in pages?

Its name is Power, the fifth of the four
The old Horsemen have stumbled except for war
Mankind through science have reduced their corps
But onwards man’s know-how will build others evermore

Aggression seen by mankind around the world
Threatening life on the planet as it climbs the power band
No reason, for non-reason rules,  and mankind ever hurls
Weapons that kill peoples, oceans, life and our land

From North Of The 49th

If the tension and foreboding of this fifth horseman stays with you, the rest of the book explores the unseen currents of power that ripple through every corner of our world.
