THE TARTAN ARMY

Follow the winds of memory, history, and landscapes as Jack Nanaimo’s poetry guides you through a rhythmic journey of life, reflection, and the world around us.   Because apparently scrolling TIKTOK isn’t enough depth for your soul.

Pipes, sporrans and whirling kilts
Voices raised in cheer with a Scottish lilt
Across the world the pipes whisper and shout
As kilted bands from the Highlands march
Beating the heart strings with never a doubt

At the head of many an army
Heading into danger in Harm’s Way
The music of the pipers were harbingers of the fray
Leading the march as they piped and played

Where did such music come from
Piped down from the Scottish glens
Sounding lonely from granite crags
Reaching the world flying St. Andrew’s flags

Inspiring millions the pipers march the streets
Their pipes and drums causing hearts to skip a beat
The Tartan Army heralds Scotland to all the world’s nations
With the vibrancy of history sounding in ancient ovation
