A bloody travesty way back in time
Are we seeing history repeat again the crime
In fields of death over contested lands
For that which is deemed holy passing from hand to hand
It has ever been so for a thousand years
Man’s gigantic events causing mankind to shed tears
Nothing ever learned in the hard march of man (1)
For the Crusader warriors of antiquity are still there
Their bloody spectres hovering over Mid-East sand
New factions at war as the world watches the fight
War the hallmark of what is deemed to be right
Violence always to be the final bloody answer
But History is laughing, watching man’s bloody disasters
How much blood have the desert sands dried
As war and its aftermath leave so many who have died
Colliding religions seem to always breach the peace
As history watches through its tears for the destruction to cease
